A note on our 7pm close: We stay open after dark on purpose. Sunset in late November arrives around 4:30pm, and when the light fades, the Edison lights come on, the bonfire pits come alive, and the farm takes on an entirely different feeling. If you can only come in the evening, come. The experience is worth it.
Getting Here
We're located just off Highway 104 in Liberty, Illinois, approximately 20 miles southeast of Quincy. The drive takes about 25 minutes from downtown Quincy and runs through farmland the whole way. You'll know you're getting close when you smell the trees.
FAQ
Do I need to bring anything?
Just your family and a good attitude about cold air. We'll handle the rest. Cocoa and cookies are on us from the moment you arrive. Dress for the weather, since the farm is outdoors and the best parts of the visit happen outside.
Can I come after dark?
Yes, and we'd encourage it. We're open until 7pm every day we're open, and the evening atmosphere is one of the best things about Evergreen. Edison lights, bonfire pits, and s'mores kits. Plan to stay for both the daylight and the dark if you can.
Do you have trees for tall ceilings?
Yes. We carry trees from 5 to 6 feet all the way up to 10 feet. If you're looking for something dramatic, we have it.
What species do you carry?
Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, Scotch Pine, and Blue Spruce. Our team can walk you through the differences and help you decide. We also carry trees in a range of fullness and shapes, from narrow for tight spaces to wide for traditional rooms.
Do you sell wreaths and grave blankets?
Yes. All handmade on-site, in standard and large sizes, plain and decorated. We also carry a small selection of grave blankets for cemetery placements.
Is there food?
Yes. Hot cocoa and fresh-baked cookies are complimentary for all visitors. We also sell push-up cinnamon rolls, pancake flights, and s'mores kits at the bonfire. Water and beverages are available in the shoppette.
Are there activities for kids?
Yes, we have wagon rides, horses to pet, a Santa letter mailbox, and photo spots across the farm.
Where do I park?
Parking is available on-site. On our busiest days, particularly Thanksgiving Saturday, we may have a short wait. We'll post updates on Facebook on busy mornings so you can plan accordingly.
What are your prices?
Tree and wreath pricing for the 2026 season will be posted in October. Join the Reserve List and we'll email it to you the day it's confirmed, or check the pricing page for the announcement.
Do you accept cards?
Yes, we accept all forms of payment, including cash, credit, and debit cards.
Do you sell tree stands?
Yes. We carry a small supply of basic tree stands and tree skirts for customers who need one.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome at Evergreen. We just ask that they stay on a leash at all times. We're located close to Highway 104, so please keep your pup close.
